When you buy a gift, making a donation on behalf of another, you help transform the lives of individuals, families and communities struggling to overcome poverty and injustice.
All gifts include an illustrated card and case study which explains how the gift will transform the lives of vulnerable communities. Each gift is linked to one of four funds that support a specific area of our work, so you can choose how you want to make a difference.
Caritas Gifts
What are Caritas Gifts?
Caritas Gifts help support Caritas' life-changing work around the world. When you buy a gift, you receive a beautifully illustrated card to give to your friend or loved one which explains how their gift will help transform the lives of people struggling to overcome poverty and injustice by supporting Caritas’ work for justice, peace and development.
Caritas Gifts are set out in four funds:
Hope Fund - supports our development work
Life Fund - sustains emergency support
Peace Fund - promotes healthcare, human rights and justice
Learning Fund - supports education and environmental care.
When you purchase a gift from one of these funds the money you spend supports that area of Caritas’ work.
For example, if you buy the gift of an Emergency kit from the Life Fund, the money you pay goes into that fund and is used to support emergency work where it is needed most.
Caritas Gifts are real examples of our work. If you buy or have received the gift of Pick a pig which is part of the Hope Fund, the money from your gift will be spent on development projects.
