Case Study

In Afghanistan, fear and uncertainty of what the future might hold under strict Taliban rule has led to increasing unrest and violent conflict in 2021. In recent months many people have become displaced from their homes and livelihoods and are desperate and are desperate to leave the country in search of a better life elsewhere.

For many years we have partnered with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in Afghanistan to assist remote villagers with food and water security, animal husbandry and securing dignified livelihoods. In 2021 we were able to support CRS develop and maintain crucial remote schools and education activities, with specific focus on young women and girls.
