Privacy

Our staff understand the responsibility to protect personal information from unauthorised use, and protect people from any harm that could result. The policy sets out the principles used by CANZ to collect, use, disclose and store personal information, and forms the basis of how CANZ will handle, process, manage and destroy personal information

Complaints Policies

Caritas has a Complaints Handling Policy which enables us to respond appropriately to concerns. Any person may make a complaint against Caritas. Should you want to make a complaint, please contact Caritas and ask for the Complaints Manager.

Safeguarding

Caritas' suite of Safeguarding policies was created to protect the people we serve, particularly children, at-risk or vulnerable adults and beneficiaries of assistance, from any harm that might be caused due to their coming in contact with CANZ in its charity, humanitarian and development activities. 

Compliance

Caritas Internationalis Management Standards

Caritas operates under a set of Caritas Internationalis Management Standards including a Code of Conduct. The CIMS are instruments and practices to promote the spirit of communion and organisation, solidarity, mutual support and fraternal cooperation and are shared by Caritas Internationalis members across the globe. They address the professional nature of our mission. They highlight the necessary skills and attitudes, such as accountability and expertise and expected behaviours in our work for charity and justice.

Council for International Devlopment (CID)

Caritas is a member of the Council for International Development (CID), a national umbrella agency for Aotearoa New Zealand's international NGOs and organisations working in international development and humanitarian response. Caritas abides by the CID Code of Conduct.
