Each year senior students in Catholic secondary schools around New Zealand have the opportunity to attend Caritas Justice Leadership Days. They participate in learning and discussions about social justice and find out about the work of Caritas. This enables them to empower others and develop leadership skills.

Case Study
Caritas runs Justice Leadership Days each year for senior secondary school students from years 12-13. These full day workshops provide a deeper understanding of the work of Caritas and our worldwide partners in advocacy, development and education. The days are informative, interactive, reflective and fun. They give students the chance to develop their understanding of social justice with like-minded students in their diocese.
Students learn to analyse social justice issues from the perspective of Catholic social teaching. We hope to provide inspiration and practical tools for students to become effective leaders in their school communities.
