Caritas has a strong commitment to environmental justice and to working with our neighbours in the Pacific region.
Every year, Caritas produces the State of the Environment for Oceania report based on interviews with people from all over the region, including Aotearoa New Zealand, who have been affected by significant changes in the environment. The report discusses the varied impacts and responses to these changes.
Along with continuing our research and talking to people at a grass roots level, we are able to better understand how we can help our partners adapt – whether it be through construction of water tanks, adaptation of agricultural techniques or diversifying crop varieties.
