Submission on Te Kāhui o Matariki Public Holiday Bill

Caritas supported this Bill as an opportunity to celebrate an aspect of te ao Māori unique to this land that all New Zealanders could enjoy. We asked Parliament to consider how Matariki and other public holidays could provide greater opportunity and participation for collective rest and restoration, and protect vulnerable workers.
