Latest News from the Region
Over the past few weeks, we have been able to make daily contact with the team at Caritas Tonga to hear their updates. We were encouraged to hear that they are safe, but are concerned by their updates.
Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand has offered an immediate Solidarity Grant to Caritas Tonga and is also receiving donations, through its Pacific Relief Fund, to help with the aftermath of the volcanic eruption in Tonga.
In a time of increasing challenge for the international development aid sector, we see it as more important than ever to celebrate stories of success. This project is one such story.
