Open letter to the New Zealand Government on Gaza emergency humanitarian visas

Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand is one of thirty-four signatories on an open letter to the New Zealand Government calling for emergency humanitarian visas for Gazans with family ties to Aotearoa. Additionally, we implore the government to provide the necessary diplomatic assistance for their safe evacuation. Once these families arrive in New Zealand, we ask that robust resettlement assistance is provided for and resourced appropriately. This is in line with our country’s responses to recent crises in Afghanistan and Ukraine.
