Seven years on from Pope Francis’ ground-breaking letter on ecology, the Catholic Church continues on a journey towards living sustainably in the spirit of integral ecology promoted by Pope Francis through Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.
There are many organisations and online tools to help us. The Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development has launched the Laudato Si’ Action Platform to help Catholic families, schools, parishes and organisations with tools, suggestions and inspiration. Caritas has prepared a 2-page guide to engage with the Platform from Aotearoa New Zealand, and providing useful New Zealand online links. (Download the guide through the link at top right.)
Caritas is also a member of the Laudato Si’ Movement, inspiring and mobilising the Catholic community to care for our common home, hearing the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.
