Mufti Mania 2019

Each year since 2007 the New Zealand Catholic Primary Principals' Association (NZCPPA) have partnered with Caritas to run a Mufti Mania day, building solidarity through raising money for poor and vulnerable communities.

Last year, we supported Doputz Primary School in Bougainville (Papua New Guinea).

All the Catholic primary schools around New Zealand raised money through Mufti Mania to help re-open their school by: 

  • Providing new water tanks and toilets
  • Repairing classrooms

The resources below are available to help students learn more about Bougainville and Doputz Primary School.



In 2018, Catholic primary schools joined together during Mufti Mania and raised more than $27,000 for Apifo'ou College in Tonga after Cyclone Gita caused damage to school buildings and resources earlier in the year. Watch the video below to hear members of the school saying thanks...
