The Catholic Agency for Justice, Peace and Development

Palestine

We support expectiong and new mothers in West Bank where it can be difficult to get medical attention due to poverty, travel restrictions, and checkpoints in the occupied Palestinian territories.

We have been engaged with Caritas Jerusalem in humanitarian and development projects for the past decade, which enables us to be in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Emergency relief

Our Peace in the Middle East Fund supports the humanitarian response in Gaza, when ongoing conflict causes deaths, casualties and destruction of housing and infrastructure.

Development programmes

Mother and Child Health Care in Aboud, West Bank

This project aims to improve the quality of mother and child health services in Aboud (a Palestinian village in the West Bank, 30 kilometers north of Jerusalem). Support will be given through activities such as home visits, ultra sounds, check ups and information sessions.

Bethlehem University Sustainable Livelihood Improvements

At the end of 2015, we provided funds to our partner, Bethlehem University, which is being used to provide courses for Palestinians in small business management and vocational training. This small project will be funded over a two-year period, and it will benefit 120 participants.
