Communications, Marketing & Fundraising Advisor

Our Communications, Marketing & Fundraising Advisor is leaving for a great career opportunity at the end of July. That means we are looking for a short-term communications contractor to help make a difference in overcoming poverty and injustice. We plan to recruit for a permanent position for this role in the new year.

The role would involve:
•    Supporting the Community Engagement Manager to develop and implement effective communications, marketing and fundraising strategies 
•    Writing and publishing newsletters
•    Maintaining the Caritas website and social media channels
•    Preparing internal and external communications
•    Managing relationships with suppliers 
•    Preparing presentations for the CE Manager and the Director 

Ideal Skills & Experience:
•    Tertiary qualification in journalism, marketing, communications, development or relevant field. 
•    Commitment to the vision, mission and values of Caritas and to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
•    Experience in web maintenance and understanding of web design
•    Experience in using social media as a marketing tool
•    Experience working on print publications with commercial printers 
•    Has a current NZ drivers licence
•    Can take initiative but is also comfortable working in a team context
•    Experience in communications, marketing, fundraising, project management or a related field preferred
