COP 23 side event - Climate, land, food: Virtuous synergies for our common home

Caritas Director Julianne Hickey will be representing Caritas Oceania at the 23rd Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP23) in Bonn, Germany, 6-17 November. She will be speaking at a side event titled, Climate, land, food: Virtuous synergies for our common home. Julianne will highlight stories from the Pacific demonstrating: 
• the need for sustainable development
• the scope of loss & damage to communities
• possibilities of climate finance
• the need to support vulnerable populations
• the importance of the knowledge of local communities and indigenous peoples
